Who provides this service

ExpiredZone is operated by Lyalpha GmbH, Düsseldorf, Germany. Company and contact details are in the Imprint. Using this site means you accept these terms.

What the service is

ExpiredZone is an aggregate analysis of domains moving through the expiration lifecycle, built from open-source intelligence. It examines them across several dimensions: lifecycle stage as names newly expire, enter redemption and reach pending delete, distribution by gTLD and by registrar, keyword patterns, and segments defined by the names themselves such as short domains and single dictionary words.

It is made for domain investment, brand protection and research. Keyword search sits on top of that analysis as a way into it. Everything is free, and there is no account to create.

The data, and what it is good for

Our data is compiled from open sources and processed daily. Processing can be delayed, and coverage is not exhaustive for every gTLD.

Each record is a snapshot from when we first observed that domain, carrying the date of that observation. It is not a live view. It does not tell you where the domain stands right now, and we make no guarantee about its current status.

Treat it as a reference, not as a definitive source. Before you act on anything you find here, and in particular before you spend money on a domain, confirm the current status with the registry or a registrar. A domain shown as expired may have been renewed; a domain shown as dropping may not drop.

Any decision you make on the basis of what you find here, including buying, bidding on or passing over a domain, is your own.

Using the data

You are welcome to view and use what you find here, including for your own commercial purposes. If you cite or redistribute it, please attribute it to ExpiredZone.

Free use is subject to a daily limit per client. Do not work around that limit, and do not extract the database in bulk. If you do, we may limit or block your access. If you need volume or programmatic access, use DomainKits.

Links to other sites

This site links to registrars, backorder services and other third parties. Some of those links are affiliate links and are marked as such in accordance with DDG §6; if you buy through one we may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their offers, or how they handle your data.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without a promise of uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where liability follows from the German Product Liability Act.

For simple negligence we are liable only where an obligation has been breached whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the agreement possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In that case liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of agreement. Any further liability is excluded.

Governing law

German law applies. If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Düsseldorf. If you are a consumer, the statutory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
